Three lawmakers to take your questions tomorrow at Cascade

Story by

A quick reminder that residents of north Portland can meet their lawmakers tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cascade Campus of Ä¢¹½´«Ã½.

Sen. Margaret Carter will be on hand along with Reps. Chip Shields and Tina Kotek. The event takes place in Room 112 of Terrell Hall.

This is a great opportunity to talk to them about the issues of the day that mean the most to you. Whether it’s the wacky economy, education, “green-collar jobs, transportation issues or health care reform – or something else entirely different – this is the time to make sure they know how you feel.

Sen. Carter this year is one of two chairs of the budget-writing Ways and Means Committee. This is the committee with the purse strings. It’s a tough job, especially in this recession.

sits on the House Judiciary Committee and a subcommittee of Ways and Means focusing on public safety (he co-chairs that one).

has the House Health Care Committee and also co-chairs the Human Services subcommittee of Ways and Means.

Ten to noon tomorrow, Terrell Hall, Cascade. Don’t miss it.
