James Hill

James G. Hill, an award-winning journalist and public relations writer, is the Director of Public Relations at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½. A graduate of Portland State University, James has worked as a section editor for the Newberg Graphic, Woodburn Independent, Clackamas Review, Oregon City News, The Dalles Daily Chronicle and the Associated Press. Born in Hillsboro, James is a native Oregonian through and through, having lived in Portland and Sunriver most of his life. Today, he manages the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ website content, the college magazine "Communities" and public relations and crisis communications projects.

Laid Off Workers Turn to Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ for Help
Across Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s 1,500-square-mile district, people are getting layoff notices and are turning to the college for help. One Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ program, the Dislocated Worker Program, has served almost as many people in three months, between July and September, as it did all of the previous year. But there is hope.
