Requesting Library Materials

This page will explain how to use Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Library search to request library materials. Items can be requested from a Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ library or from libraries in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Both physical and digital items (e.g. articles or electronic book chapters delivered as PDFs) may be requested.

Requesting library materials

    • Find the item you want using the
    • If you are looking for an article, try changing the drop down menu to “Articles” or “Everything”
    • Select the link below the title
    • Sign in

  • On the next screen, sign in under the appropriate category.

  • Use the login screen to sign in with your MyÄ¢¹½´«Ã½ username and password.

  • Click on the “Get it” button (for a physical copy or a digital chapter/article request)

  • On the request form, select your preferred pickup location.

  • If your request is for a volume or part of a multiple-part item, please indicate this in the “Volume” field. Example: “Volume 37”. Place one request for each item, volume, or part that you need. Then click the “Send” button
  • A note “The request was successfully submitted” will indicate that the request has been successful.

  • You can return to your search results by clicking the big “X” on the left side of the screen to exit the item record.
  • If your request cannot be filled, an email will be sent to you that your request was canceled.
  • If your request is successful, you will be sent an email letting you know that the materials can be picked up at the requested Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ campus library location in about seven days (physical materials) or delivered to the borrower’s library account in 24 hours (electronic materials).

Status of request

  • On the library website home page, (upper right)

  • Then sign in with a Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ username and password after selecting “PC Students, Faculty, and Staff”.

  • Select “Requests” in the menu under “My Library Account”.

Arrival and pick-up of items

  • A Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ email will notify the requester when the item is available for pick up.
  • Items must be picked up within seven calendar days after they are available.
  • Loan periods vary. See Loan Periods and Fines for more details
  • Important: Do not remove or discard the book bands, stickers, or accompanying page slips from resource sharing items to ensure that returned items are properly returned. There is a $90 fee for items that are lost or damaged.
