The college’s leadership in sustainability has resulted in numerous awards and recognition:

• Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ was the 4th college nationwide to become and is also Tree Campus USA certified;
• Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Rock Creek Learning Garden received the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) 2015 for addressing food insecurity among students;
• Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ was a recipient of in 2016;
• The College was awarded the from Second Nature and the US Green Building Council;
• Ä¢¹½´«Ã½’s 2021 Climate Action Plan: Resiliency, Equity and Education for a Just Transition was used as a case study example in Second Nature’s report, in 2022;
