- Reduce congestion and make parking easier.
- Follow state and federal laws.
Violations of these rules may result in the issuance of a parking citation.
Glossary

Who Must Follow These Rules
- Anyone parking on Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ property, including cars, motorcycles, and other motorized vehicles.
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ students, staff, faculty, visitors, and vendors.
General Rules
- A valid parking permit is required on Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ lots and roadways Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., beginning the second week of each academic term.
- Park only in legal parking spaces. Not finding a space is not an excuse.
- Illegally parked vehicles may be towed or immobilized.
- Faculty, staff, and students are responsible for citations issued to their non-Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ guests and family members.
- Parking lots are for vehicles only; trailers, tents, or other accessories may not be stored on Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ parking lots or roadways.
- Drivers may not leave animals or children unattended in vehicles.
- Idling (leaving the engine on while parked) is not allowed unless the vehicle is hauling a refrigerated trailer.
- Vehicles must have the license plates and VIN clearly displayed. Vehicles found without license plates and an obstructed VIN may be immobilized or towed at owner’s expense.
Parking Permits
- All Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ campuses require valid parking permits during enforcement hours.
- Term permits must be displayed from the rearview mirror or driver’s side dashboard, ensuring information is visible through the front windshield.
- Hourly permits: Must be displayed on the driver’s side dashboard with the payment details visible through the front windshield.
- Vehicles belonging to the college, “E plates, and motorcycles in designated spots are exempt from buying a parking permit.
- Having a parking permit does not guarantee a spot; all parking is first come, first served.
- Expired or invalid permits are treated as no permit.
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ parking permits are required in addition to DMV issued ADA Placards. ADA Placards are always required in ADA parking spots.
- Staff parking permits are required in staff lots until 6 p.m. General parking permits are allowed in staff lots after 6 p.m.
No Parking Areas
Do not park:
- Blocking roads, curb cutouts, sidewalks, or bike lanes.
- On landscaping, hash-marked spaces, or pedestrian areas.
- Overnight without permission.
- In bus/shuttle stops (except buses).
- Blocking fire hydrants, driveways, or accessible routes.
Vehicles blocking traffic may be asked to move or towed at the owner’s expense.
Time-Limited Parking
- Follow all posted time limits.
- Move your vehicle once the time expires.
- Loading/unloading zones: max 20 minutes while actively loading/unloading.
Authorized Parking Only
- Only authorized vehicles may park in a college vehicle, bus, service vehicle, retail space or vendor parking space.
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ members may not park in a retail designated space.
- Motorcycles must park in motorcycle spaces to take advantage of free parking.
Electric Vehicle Parking
- EV charging: 3-hour max per day for all EV charging college-wide. Tracked by license plate.
- Vehicles may not leave the charging stall and return later for an additional charging session on the same day.
- EV spaces are for charging only. Vehicles not charging may not park in these spaces.
- Non-electric vehicles may not park in EV stalls.
- Use of EV charging stations is a privilege, not a right. The ability to charge is not guaranteed. EV owners are encouraged to have alternative means of charging their vehicles.
- Employees, students, and visitors must have a current, valid parking pass to use the charging infrastructure.
- A valid permit must be displayed while charging.
Vehicles must follow all parking rules and regulations. The inability to charge is not a valid reason to park illegally.
Occupying Parking Spaces
- One vehicle per space.
- Oversized vehicles should utilize street parking or use an extra stall with payment and permission from Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Transportation and Parking Services.
Vehicles that cannot fit without crossing the lines due to another vehicle or circumstance will need to find a different parking stall.
Roadway Parking
- A valid parking permit is required on all roadways within Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ property (any road past the gates).
- Vehicles must park in the direction of traffic. Vehicles may not park facing oncoming traffic.
- Obey all signs and roadway directional arrows.

- Red or yellow curbs: no parking except with signed loading exceptions.
- Bus zones/shuttle stops: no parking ever.
Circumvention and Fraud

- Do not give false information to Transportation and Parking Services.
Vehicles found to have altered or forged term / hourly permits may be immobilized or towed at the owner’s expense.

- A DMV-issued disabled parking placard may only be used by the person to whom it was issued. It may also be used by a caregiver only when transporting the permit holder.
- DMV-issued ADA placards must be displayed with a valid Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ parking permit.
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ temporary disability permits are not valid in DMV disabled parking spaces.
- Expired or invalid permits or placards are treated as no valid permit.
- Disabled Veteran or Wounded Warrior license plates alone do not authorize parking in ADA spaces. A valid DMV-issued disabled parking placard is required.
- A DMV-issued disabled parking placard or Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ temporary disability permit does not waive parking fees. A separate Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ parking permit is required.
Neighborhood Parking
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ students, staff, visitors, and vendors must park on campus during Ä¢¹½´«Ã½-related activities.
- Parking in neighborhoods is prohibited and may lead to citations.
Neighborhood boundaries are not shared publicly to encourage on-campus parking and maintain good neighborhood relations.
Parking Citation Overview
- Parking citations are issued for violating parking rules & regulations.
- Citations may be paid or appealed within 30 days of the issue date.
- Late fees are added to citations that are not paid or appealed within 30 days.
- The 30‑day pay‑or‑appeal period for one citation does not prevent additional citations from being issued.
- Faculty, staff, and students are responsible for citations issued to their non-Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ guests and family members.
